Canyon Skurda, located approximately 45 minutes hike from Kotor Old Town, is the perfect choice for everyone who desires to do canyoning. Including your 45 minutes walk along the hiking path to the entry point, the canyoning will last 3 hours. In total, you would spend 3 hours on your adventure. Along the way, you will also have the perfect view of Kotor bay. When we finish exploring the canyon, you’ll be left with an unforgettable experience that you’ll remember for a long time.

About the canyon itself:

The Skurda Canyon is one of Kotor’s many attractions. Skurda is a submerged river that springs from Lovćen and flows into Kotor Bay. The canyon lies only a few hundred meters from Kotor’s Old Town, so you don’t have to go “far from civilization” to experience its wonder. It begins 200 meters below the Krstac Pass, at the foot of Lovćen, and ends near the Old Town’s walls, just below the old Austro-Hungarian dam.

Canyon Skurda is a technical canyon and ideal for those who like abseiling (rappelling), since it does not have any jumps or slides. Skurda is a periodical canyon and dries out in the summer, but despite that it is one of the best-shaped canyons in Montenegro.

The canyon has already created “anchorages,” which are used to climb the canyon’s cliff. Cascades, swimming pools, rocks for climbing, and narrow, jagged crevices are also features of the canyon’s route.
