Active trip through Serbia and Bosnia for Nature Lovers
About:
Active trip through Serbia & Bosnia for nature lovers
Discover the heart of the Balkans on a scenic journey blending historic cities, breathtaking nature, and authentic local culture. Begin in vibrant Belgrade, capitol of Serbia, exploring Kalemegdan Fortress, the House of Flowers, and the impressive Saint Sava Temple. Follow the Danube past Golubac Fortress and through the dramatic Đerdap Gorge, before reaching historic Smederevo.
Travel onward to the natural wonders of western Serbia, including Gostilje Waterfalls, Stopića Cave, and the traditional village of Sirogojno, before enjoying the fresh mountain air of Zlatibor and the spectacular curves of Uvac Canyon. Visit the famous Mileševa Monastery and unwind in the peaceful surroundings of Kamena Gora.
Adventure continues with rafting on the Lim river and a visit to the unique wooden town – resort of Drvengrad created by filmmaker Emir Kusturica, and a crossing into Bosnia & Herzegovina. Explore Višegrad’s UNESCO-listed Bridge on the Drina and Andrićgrad – a stone town inspired by Balkan history and culture.
Another highlight follows with rafting on the Tara River, which forms the natural border between Bosnia and Montenegro, continuing downstream into the Drina River at their confluence. From here, continue into the rich multicultural heritage of Sarajevo, where East meets West. Explore the historic old town, Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture, and relax at the peaceful Vrelo Bosne, the spring of the Bosna River.
The tour concludes with a comfortable airport transfer, leaving you with unforgettable memories of dramatic landscapes, historic cities, warm hospitality, and authentic Balkan experiences.
